What is LOOT?

LOOT is a launchpad for memecoins that pay their holders in V-Bucks, the in-game currency of Fortnite.

Every coin on Pump charges a small fee each time someone buys or sells it. This is called the creator fee, and it normally goes to whoever made the coin. When a coin is launched through LOOT, that fee goes to LOOT instead, permanently. LOOT turns it into V-Bucks and shares them out to the people holding its coins, every 15 minutes.

Nothing else changes. A LOOT coin is a regular Pump coin, and you trade it on Pump like any other.

Start earning

You only need two things to get started:

A Solana wallet
The Phantom, Solflare or Backpack browser extension, on a computer. It's free.
A little SOL
Solana's own currency. You use it to buy coins and pay small network fees.
  1. 01Browse coins on Explore. Open one and follow its link to buy it on Pump.
  2. 02Leave the coin in your wallet. That's all. Every 15 minutes your share of the round is added to your balance automatically.
  3. 03Once your balance reaches 1,000 V-Bucks, go to Rewards and claim a code.
New to crypto wallets?Add the Phantom extension to your browser from phantom.com, create a wallet and write your recovery phrase down on paper. Never type it into a website. You can buy SOL inside Phantom. LOOT works with browser extension wallets; hardware wallets such as Ledger aren’t supported.

Launch a coin

Anyone can launch a coin on LOOT. You fill in a name, a ticker and an image, add any extras you like, approve one transaction, and your coin is live on Pump and listed on LOOT.

  1. 01Open the Launch page and connect your wallet.
  2. 02Enter a name (up to 32 bytes: 32 plain letters, fewer with emoji or accents), a ticker, the short symbol people see (up to 13 bytes, shown in capitals with no spaces), and an image (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB).
  3. 03Optionally, add a dev buy: an amount of SOL (up to 9 decimal places) that buys your own coin in the same transaction, so you're its first holder.
  4. 04Optionally, add a description (up to 500 characters) and links to a website, X and Telegram. Links must start with https://. They're shown on your coin's page on LOOT and saved in its Pump metadata.
  5. 05Press launch and approve the one transaction in your wallet.

That single transaction creates your coin on Pump, makes your dev buy if you set one, and sends all of its creator fees to the LOOT treasury. This is permanent and can’t be changed later. As the creator you don’t receive any of the fees, but if you hold your own coin you earn V-Bucks just like everyone else. Your coin appears on Explore once the launch goes through.

Launching costs real SOLYour wallet pays for the dev buy plus Pump’s account rent and network fees, and it shows the total before you approve. Keep about 0.02 SOL on top of any dev buy. If the page closes partway through, open the Launch page again in the same browser and it will pick up where it left off.

How rewards work

Every 15 minutes LOOT runs a round. A round is a set amount of V-Bucks that gets shared between everyone holding LOOT coins at that moment.

15minBetween rounds
96Rounds a day
1,000V-Bucks per code

Your share of a round comes down to two things.

First, the SOL behind each coin. When people buy a coin, the SOL they pay stays with it. Coins with more SOL behind them get a bigger slice of the round. Price and trading volume don’t matter.

Second, how much of the coin you hold. Each coin’s slice is shared by its holders. Hold 10% of the coin’s tokens that count and you get 10% of its slice. Tokens still in Pump’s bonding curve or a trading pool don’t count, so they never shrink your share.

50%Your coin’s slice of the round×10%Your part of the coin=50V-Bucks for you
Example: a 1,000 V-Bucks round. Your coin has half of all the SOL behind LOOT coins, so it gets half the round. You hold 10% of the coin's tokens that count.

If you hold more than one LOOT coin, you earn from each of them and it all adds up in one balance.

For the curious: the exact rule+

A coin’s SOL is what’s in its Pump bonding curve plus what’s in its PumpSwap pool once it graduates. For each coin, your part is its SOL × your tokens ÷ the tokens held by everyone who counts. Add your parts together, and your reward is the round’s V-Bucks × your total ÷ everyone’s total, rounded down to a whole V-Buck.

An example round

A real calculation, start to finish. There are two coins, two holders and 1,000 V-Bucks to share.

Bigger coin2 SOL behind it. You hold all of it.You count 2 SOL
Smaller coin1 SOL behind it. You and another holder hold half each. You each count 0.5 SOL
YouYou count 2.5 of the 3 SOL833V-Bucks
Another holderThey count 0.5 of the 3 SOL166V-Bucks

2.5 ÷ 3 of 1,000 is 833, rounded down. The 1 V-Buck left over from rounding isn’t paid out.

Good to know

No minimum, no lock-up
Hold any amount for any length of time. Each round only looks at what's in your wallet when it runs.
You can sell whenever you like
Selling is never blocked. You simply stop earning from that coin from the next round on.
Whole V-Bucks only
Rewards are rounded down to a whole V-Buck. A very small holding can earn 0 in a round.
Use a normal wallet
Some smart-contract wallets and multisigs can't sign in, so coins kept in them don't earn.
Some addresses never earn
Pump's bonding curve, trading pools, lockers, vaults and the LOOT treasury are skipped, so they don't shrink your share.
LOOT sets the round size
LOOT decides how many V-Bucks each round shares and can pause rounds. A round that doesn't run isn't made up later.
Coins can be removed
LOOT can take a coin off the site. It stops earning from the next round. V-Bucks you already earned stay yours.
Your balance only goes up
Earned V-Bucks don't expire and aren't taken back if a coin's price falls. Only claiming a code uses them.

Claim your V-Bucks

Your V-Bucks build up in a balance on LOOT. When it reaches 1,000, you can swap them for a 1,000 V-Bucks code.

  1. 01Open Rewards and connect the wallet that holds your coins.
  2. 02Your wallet asks you to sign a short message. Approve it and your balance appears.
  3. 03Once you have 1,000 V-Bucks or more, press Claim. Your code appears straight away.
  4. 04Redeem it at fortnite.com/vbuckscard by signing in with your Epic Games account and entering the code.
1,240Your balance−1,000One code=240Left for next time

Each claim uses exactly 1,000 V-Bucks, and whatever is left stays in your balance.

Signing in

LOOT has no accounts or passwords. Your wallet is your login. To see your balance, your wallet asks you to sign a short message, a bit like signing your name to prove it’s you. This is the message you’ll see:

useloot.app wants you to sign in with your Solana account:
(your wallet address)

View or claim your LOOT V-Bucks codes.

URI: https://useloot.app
Version: 1
Chain ID: mainnet
Nonce: (random)
Issued At: (the time you sign)

Signing a message is very different from approving a transaction, and it helps to know which is which:

Signing a messageUsed forSeeing your balance, claiming codesCostFreeCan move your fundsNo
Approving a transactionUsed forLaunching a coin, trading on PumpCostSOLCan move your fundsYes
On LOOT, the only transaction you ever approve is launching a coin.
  • Check that the site name on the first line of the message matches the address bar. If it doesn't, don't sign.
  • A sign-in lasts five minutes. After that, LOOT asks you to sign again.
  • Use a browser extension wallet. Hardware wallets such as Ledger aren't supported for signing in or claiming.

Codes and regions

United States flagCode regionUSA1,000 V-Bucks per code, for Epic Games accounts in the United States.

V-Bucks codes are tied to a region, and a code only works in the region it was made for. All LOOT codes are USA codes, so make sure your Epic Games account is set up for the United States before you claim.

Your codes are never put on the blockchain, where anyone could read them. They’re shown only on LOOT, and only to the wallet that claimed them. If you disconnect, they disappear from the screen, and you can see them again any time by signing in with the same wallet.

How LOOT is built

For the curious: here’s what runs behind the site. None of it needs anything from you beyond holding coins and signing in.

  • The website is a Next.js app. It shows coins, launches new ones and handles sign-in and claims.
  • The database is Supabase Postgres. It stores registered coins, every reward round, every credit, and the codes. Only LOOT’s server can reach it; browsers never talk to it directly.
  • Solana data comes from a Helius RPC node. LOOT only reads the chain; it never moves your coins or sends transactions for you.
  • Coin images and details are pinned to IPFS through Pinata when a coin is launched.
  • The reward job is a Supabase Edge Function called reward-round, started by Supabase Cron every 15 minutes.

The reward job

Supabase Cron (the pg_cron extension) fires on the quarter hour: :00, :15, :30 and :45. Each time, it calls the reward-round Edge Function over HTTP using pg_net, with a secret key that only the scheduler holds, so nobody else can start a round. The function then:

  1. 01Reads how many V-Bucks this round shares. If LOOT has set it to 0, rounds are paused and it stops here.
  2. 02Names the round after the current 15-minute slot, like 08:15.
  3. 03For every coin on LOOT, reads from Solana how much SOL is behind it: the SOL in its Pump bonding curve, plus the SOL in its PumpSwap pool once it has graduated.
  4. 04For every coin with SOL behind it, lists every token account and adds up each wallet's balance.
  5. 05Drops addresses that can't sign in (bonding curves, pools, lockers, vaults) and the LOOT treasury.
  6. 06Works out every wallet's share (below) and saves the round and all its credits to the database in one step.
The formulaA coin’s weight is its SOL, in lamports. Your score from a coin is its weight × your tokens ÷ all counted tokens, rounded down; your score for the round adds this up across your coins. Your reward is the round’s V-Bucks × your score ÷ everyone’s scores, rounded down to a whole V-Buck. All of it uses exact whole-number maths, so nothing drifts.

Solana data is read at the finalized level, so a round never counts a trade that could still be rolled back. Each coin is read at a slightly different moment, so a round is a snapshot, not a single instant.

Safety guarantees

These are enforced by the database itself, not just by the website.

All or nothing
A round and all its credits are written together in one database transaction. If anything fails first, such as Solana not answering, nothing is written at all.
Never paid twice
Each 15-minute slot can hold only one round. If the job runs twice for the same slot, the second run changes nothing.
Never more than the round
Every share rounds down, and the database refuses any round whose credits add up to more than the V-Bucks it shares.
Missed rounds stay missed
If a round fails, it isn't re-run later with old data. The next round carries on as normal.
A balance can't be spent twice
Claims from one wallet are handled one at a time, and each code can go to only one wallet, even if many people claim at the same moment.
Codes stay private
Codes live only in the database. They're never put on-chain or logged, and each one is shown only to the wallet that claimed it, after a signature check. A sign-in is valid for five minutes.

Staying safe

Crypto is only as safe as your habits. These few rules cover almost every scam you’re likely to see.

LOOT will neverAsk for your recovery phrase or private keyAsk you to send SOL to claim a codeAsk you to approve a transaction to see your balance
You should alwaysCheck the site name in your wallet matches the address barKeep your codes private. Anyone with a code can use itOnly spend what you can afford to lose

Memecoins are risky and can lose all their value. LOOT isn’t affiliated with Epic Games or Pump, and nothing here is financial advice.

FAQ

What is LOOT?+

A place to launch and hold memecoins that pay you back in V-Bucks. Every Pump coin charges a small fee on each trade. For coins launched through LOOT, that fee goes to the LOOT treasury, and the treasury shares V-Bucks out to the people holding the coins every 15 minutes.

Do I need to do anything to earn?+

No. Buy a LOOT coin and keep it in your wallet. Every 15 minutes you get your share of that round automatically. You only need to do something when you want to claim a code.

How much will I earn?+

It depends on two things: how much SOL is behind each coin you hold, and how much of each coin you hold. Coins with more SOL behind them get a bigger slice of each round, and each coin's slice is split between its holders by how much they hold.

Is there a minimum amount or holding time?+

No. Each round looks at what's in your wallet when it runs. Rewards are paid in whole V-Bucks, though, so a very small holding can round down to zero in a round.

Where do the fees go?+

All of a LOOT coin's creator fees go to the LOOT treasury, permanently. The treasury uses them to buy the V-Bucks codes that holders claim.

Does the creator of a coin get the fees?+

No. The creator gets none of the fees. They can still earn V-Bucks the same way as everyone else, by holding the coin.

How do I claim a code?+

When you have 1,000 V-Bucks, open Rewards, connect your wallet and sign the sign-in message. Then press Claim. Your code appears straight away with a link to redeem it.

Is signing in safe?+

Yes. Signing in means signing a short text message, not a transaction. It's free and it can't move anything out of your wallet. We will never ask for your seed phrase.

Which region are the codes for?+

Every code is a USA code, made for Epic Games accounts in the United States. A code only works in the region it was made for, so check your account's region before you claim.

Where do I redeem my code?+

On Fortnite's V-Bucks card page, https://www.fortnite.com/vbuckscard. Sign in with your Epic Games account, enter the code, and the V-Bucks are added to that account.

Why didn't I earn anything in a round?+

Usually one of these: the coin had no SOL behind it, your share was small enough to round down to zero, rounds were paused, or the coin was removed. Coins kept in some smart-contract wallets don't count either, because those wallets can't sign in.
